LootRestock
LootRestock restocks loot chests on a Fabric server once a configurable amount of time has passed since a player last opened them.
What it does
The mod tracks which lootable chests each player has opened and resets their contents after a cooldown. Chests are restored from their original loot tables, and only chunks that are loaded get reset. The cooldown is set with simple time units, such as 7 days 12 hours 30 minutes, and the tracking data persists across server restarts. Server owners can choose to reset only chests that are empty when the timeout expires, and trial vaults can have their player lists reset as well. Elytra item frames respawn too.
The mod suits long-lived worlds, custom maps and story-driven play where loot should refill over time rather than run out. It is a Fabric mod for version 1.20.1 and later, with files published for 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.7 – 1.21.11, and 26.2. LootRestock is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
Key features
Automatic chest restock
Looted chests refill on their own after the cooldown, with no manual commands needed.
Per-player tracking
The mod records which players have opened each chest, so every player's cooldown is handled separately.
Original loot tables
Refilled contents come from each chest's original loot table, and only loaded chunks are reset.
Time-unit cooldown
The cooldown accepts days, hours and minutes in a single value, such as 7 days 12 hours 30 minutes.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Persistent survival servers
Loot keeps appearing in dungeons and villages on a long-running world, so later players still find items.
Custom adventure maps
Map makers can keep loot available across play sessions without resetting the world.
Who it’s for: Server owners running long-lived worlds, and map makers who want loot in adventure maps to replenish over time.
How it compares
InstaRestock is a Fabric mod for 1.18 – 26.3 under All rights reserved, and it is not open source. Random Chest Loot covers Fabric and Forge for 1.20.4 – 26.1.2 with a client and server environment, and its license is All rights reserved. Chest to Vault is open source under the MIT License, but it is server required and client optional and targets only 1.21.11, so it is narrower in version range than LootRestock.
