Look

by BitZero

With Look, players can summon Terraria-inspired bosses and their relatives, then use the drops to craft eye-themed trophies, staffs, shields and lenses.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Look adds Eye Cthulhu, the Twins and Deerclops to a world, along with items that summon them. Players craft a Suspicious Looking Eye and use it to call Eye Cthulhu, and a Pair Eyes item summons Retinazer and Spazmatism. Rare drops from these fights supply the materials for the rest of the content.

Look also covers equipment. The Optic Staff creates Demon Eyes that fight as minions, an Eye Cthulhu Shield works like a normal shield with a longer blocking duration and a dash on main-hand attacks, and the Black and Iron Lens grant Haste II and Luck when equipped, the Iron version without enchanting. Trophies for each boss are craftable as decoration.

Installation needs Geckolib, which is a required dependency. The mod runs on Forge for 1.20.1 only, the single game version it targets, and it has to be installed on both the client and the server. The latest file is 1.0.6 for 1.20.1, published on 2024-09-12. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Summonable bosses

Items such as the Suspicious Looking Eye and Pair Eyes call bosses from the Terraria-inspired set into the world.

  2. Eye-themed equipment

An Optic Staff, shields and lenses use the eye motif, and each lens adds a potion effect when worn.

  3. Boss trophies

Trophies for Eye Cthulhu, Retinazer, Spazmatism and Deerclops can be crafted and placed as decoration.

  4. Crafting from drops

Materials such as Crimson Tentacle, Iron Tentacle and Crimson Seed come from boss drops and feed later recipes.
