Liko's Tarantulas adds large, unique tarantula mobs to Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 on Forge, along with utility items, consumables, animals and structures to find.
What it does
Tarantulas in the mod are large and spread across the world, and they are typically sneaky, hiding away in burrows until a player comes near. Each one rears up and strikes when a player gets too close, so keeping distance is the safer approach. The author lists a set of named species, among them Harpactira pulchripes, Grammostola pulchra, Brachypelma smithi, Augacephalus breyeri, Davus pantaloris, Aphonopelma chalcodes, Cyriopagopus lividus and Poecilotheria metallica, and a longer roster that includes Monocentropus balfouri and Birupes simoroxigorum.
Beyond the mobs, the mod adds items for players: utility items, consumables, enchantments, decorative blocks, combat items and healing items. Ancient temples can be found with treasure and unique talismans that aid the player. Spider string can be farmed for use in crafting.
Installation needs Geckolib and Patchouli, which must be present alongside Liko's Tarantulas. The mod is for Forge only, runs on client and server, and is published for 1.19 – 1.20.1 with 1.1.2-1.20.1 as the latest file, released under All rights reserved.
