Lead Apple [Collection]

by VoidGTB

Lead Apple [Collection] adds a set of apples with custom effects, several of them tied to tech mods and their machines.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Each apple in the collection carries its own effect. The Lead Apple is made in a combiner and applies lead poisoning when eaten, while the Uranium Apple causes radiation sickness. Iron apples work as projectiles, and Burnt Apples are bad food meant for fuel in an oven. Copper and Osmium apples give small positive effects, and Desh Apples, made from moon ore, grant levitation. Eating certain apples produces a sound that can be heard from a distance.

Brass and Zinc apples are made in a Mechanical Mixer, with Brass giving positive effects and Zinc small advantages. Tin Apples let the player feel the effect of tin's heaviness. Ad Astra, Create and Mekanism are optional dependencies, and the apples tie into their content. The mod is inspired by the lead apple in Hbm's Nuclear Tech Mod and is meant to be extended by other mods that add new apples.

Files exist for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with Forge builds for 1.20.1 and NeoForge builds for 1.21.1. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is not open source; the mod is released under All rights reserved, while its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Apples with custom effects

Each apple applies its own effect, from levitation and radiation sickness to small positive bonuses.

  2. Apples as projectiles

Iron apples can be thrown, so they work as a ranged item rather than food alone.

  3. Machine-made apples

Brass and Zinc apples come from a Mechanical Mixer, and the Lead Apple is made in a combiner.

  4. Burnt apple as fuel

The Burnt Apple is poor food but can be used as fuel in an oven.
