What it does

A computer placed beside a Lightman's Currency trader block, with a wrap peripheral attached, can reach that trader through Lua functions. The addon exposes the trader's custom name and the name of its owner, along with its trade table, which lists each offered item with its count, the price in the chosen currency and whether a trade is a one-sale purchase or a barter.

Barters list the items a customer must supply with their counts, so a program can read both sides of an exchange. The addon is a compatibility layer and needs both of its required dependencies installed. Installation covers the server and each player's game.

Files target Forge for 1.20.1 only. The latest file is 0.0.2-1.20.1, published on 2025-06-08, after a first release on 2025-05-31. The project is released under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Trader name lookup

A program can read the custom name a trader block has been given, and the name of the player who owns it.

  2. Trade table reading

The trade table reports each offered item with its count, the sale or purchase price and the currency used.

  3. Barter requirements

For barter trades, the required items and their counts are returned, so a script can check what a customer has to give.

  4. Peripheral wrapping

A computer attached to a wrap peripheral next to a trader block gains the functions without any extra hardware.
