KOWI's Laser Mod adds upgradable lasers that players craft, aim and customize, with cosmetic options and redstone-driven contraptions.
What it does
Lasers are the central feature. Players build laser emitters and catchers, and a beam can carry a redstone signal through the air from one point to another. Lasers can be upgraded and their behavior customized, which the author describes as more than a cosmetic change. Lasers can also set entities on fire, and invisible light can be made visible only through glasses the mod adds.
The mod includes a remote controller and linker for operating lasers from a distance, and a Computer Controlled Laser Projector that can be driven by a computer from CC: Tweaked. Tools can be customized with special upgrades, and a unique crafting system is used for machines that accept upgrades. The author notes that the laser projector was broken during recent work and is being updated.
The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge across 15 release versions, and the latest files are 1.1.1 for 1.19.2. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is not open source, and the license is All rights reserved, although source code and an issue tracker are linked publicly.
