Mekanism Lasers adds laser-based machines and tools to Mekanism, including laser stoppers, laser tires and laser doors used for security systems.
What it does
The mod extends Mekanism with laser additions that players can build into their bases, such as laser stoppers and laser tires, and more are planned as development continues. Lasers can be upgraded through basic and top tiers, which increases what the lasers can do. Security setups can use lasers to control doors and access, and an infinite ore generator can be built with the same parts.
Mekanism is required and the mod cannot run without it. Mekanism Lasers is published for NeoForge across six release versions, 1.21 – 1.21.5, and its latest file is 1.1.10.3-c for 1.21.1. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is public, and the source and issue tracker are linked from the project, while the mod is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license, so it is not open source.
