Kiro's Basic Blocks

by countkiro

Kiro's Basic Blocks is a NeoForge decoration mod whose colorless and textured blocks are meant to be used with LittleTiles.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

The blocks include brick, wood and stone looks, plus some animated blocks and emissive blocks that blink at different light levels. Colorless blocks can be recolored with the LittleTiles Paint Brush tool, which makes them useful as a neutral base for building styles and themes.

Connected textures are handled through Fusion (Connected Textures), which the mod requires, so adjacent blocks join smoothly. Both the server and every player need the mod, because the environment is client and server. Builds exist for NeoForge across 11 release versions, 1.21.1 – 1.21.11, and the source is open source under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Colorless base blocks

Neutral blocks suited to LittleTiles builds, which can be tinted afterward with the Paint Brush tool.

  2. Brick, wood and stone textures

A limited set of brick, wood and stone looks for walls, floors and facades.

  3. Blinking emissive blocks

Light blocks that flash at several light levels, for signs, panels and accent lighting.

  4. Animated blocks

A small group of blocks with animated textures to break up flat surfaces.
