Kirin
Kirin is a library of GUI code for Fabric and Quilt, providing buttons, toggles, cyclers and scrolling containers for mod screens.
What it does
Kirin supplies building blocks for creating screens and for hooking into existing ones. Its controls include buttons, toggles, cyclers and scrolling containers, and they offer more configuration options than the game's own classes while staying simpler to set up. The code was written as shared infrastructure for several projects by the same team, and the author says it is usually embedded in other mods rather than used on its own.
The library also includes a configuration system that reads config files in JSON format and can apply changes while the game is running. Installing Kirin by itself adds nothing visible to the game. Fabric API is required, and the mod is published for both Fabric and Quilt. Kirin is open source under the MIT License, and only the client needs it, since it runs on the client alone.
Key features
Button and toggle controls
Buttons and toggles can be added to screens, with more customisation options than the regular game classes provide.
Cycler controls
Cyclers let a player step through a set of values on one control, configured through the library.
Scrolling containers
Scrolling containers hold content that is taller than its area, so mod screens can show long lists.
Live-updating JSON config
Config files in JSON format can be edited while the game runs, with changes applied without a restart.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.

Use cases
Mod screens
A mod author can build settings or menu screens from the library's controls instead of writing each widget from scratch.
Hooking existing screens
Controls can be added to screens that already exist, extending them without replacing the original code.
Who it’s for: Mod developers who want ready-made screen controls and a JSON config system for their own projects. Players who only want to play a mod that uses Kirin do not need to install it separately, since it is normally embedded.

What the author says
Embedded common code used across several Mine Little Pony projects to create their GUIs. This mod is a library and is usually embedded or installed as a dependency for other mods, so installing it on its own doesn't do anything.
