With Kiln, a furnace-style block can smelt recipes that vanilla blast furnaces cannot, adding stones, sands and bricks to the list of outputs.
What it does
Kiln is a Fabric mod built around a companion smoker and blast furnace pair that smelts items into stones, sands, bricks and similar materials. Its recipes include charcoal logs that burn to charcoal, cracked nether bricks made from nether bricks, cracked stone bricks made from stone bricks, glass made from sand, glazed and dyed terracotta, green dye from cactus and lime dye from sea pickles. Clay balls can be turned into bricks.
The mod is a Technology and Utility addition that also fits the Decoration category, since several of its outputs are building materials. Both sides must run it: the server and every player need Kiln to use its blocks and recipes. Files are published for 1.16, 1.16.1, 1.16.2, 1.16.3, 1.16.4, 1.16.5 and 1.18.2, with 1.2.0+1.18 for 1.18.2 as the latest file. Kiln is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

A smoker and a blast furnace are added as companion blocks that work through the same smelting recipes.
Stone and brick recipes
Stones, sands and bricks are produced from new smelting recipes, including cracked nether brick and cracked stone brick.
Dye and terracotta recipes
Glazed terracotta, dyed terracotta, green dye from cactus and lime dye from sea pickle can be smelted.
Charcoal and glass recipes
Charcoal is made by burning logs and glass by smelting sand, adding recipes missing from vanilla blast furnaces.
