KexplosionEarly is a Fabric server mod for 1.20.1 that ports the water explosion feature, known as K Explosion, from later versions of the game.
What it does
Explosions in the world can push and affect items, item frames, glow item frames, armor stands, leash knots and paintings after the ported behavior is applied. The change is limited to the server, so the server runs it alone and players join without installing anything.
The water explosion behavior is named K Explosion by the community after the user who discovered it. The mod is intended for servers that want that behavior on 1.20.1 without moving to a newer game version. It needs Fabric, and files exist only for 1.20.1.
The code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so it is open source and carries no restrictions on use. Source code and an issue tracker are publicly linked. The latest Fabric file is 1.0.3+1.20.1, published on 2026-04-20, the same day the mod was first released.
