Just Hammers Backport
Just Hammers Backport brings the Hammers mod to Forge for 1.12.2, adding hammers that break several blocks at once.
What it does
The mod backports the original Hammers mod, which did not reach its full potential on 1.12.2 in the author's view. It adds hammers in the Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite tiers. Each tier has a larger mining area, starting at 3x3x1 and growing to 5x5x5 across several levels, and the hammers break longer than a standard tool before they wear out.
Hammers lose one point of durability per use, and a repaired anvil can restore them. Some smaller improvements are added on top of the original content. The mod runs on client and server, so only the server and every player who joins it need the jar. Files are published for Forge 1.12.2 only, with 1.7 as the latest file, dated 2026-04-23. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, though the project is not open source because no public GitHub repository exists yet, and the author plans one soon.
