What it does
Jurassic Legacy is a Forge mobs mod that brings dinosaurs from the Jurassic Park franchise into Minecraft. Its genetic cloning process revives extinct species, and the catalog of 41 new prehistoric creatures includes large predators such as the Tyrannosaurus and fast Velociraptors, along with smarter creatures like troodons. Prehistoric ores such as amber and fossils are added, and the mod also provides decorations and electric fences to keep the animals contained.
The mod aims at an immersive prehistoric atmosphere and at the sense of danger and discovery found in the films. Players can build their own dinosaur park, with security measures, rather than only encountering animals that spawn in the world. Geckolib is required, so it must be installed alongside the mod. Jurassic Legacy is client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Forge only, for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6. It is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. The mod is still early in development, and the author warns that many planned features are not yet in place.
