Junkyard Utils

by Xodus4

Junkyard Utils, a NeoForge add-on for Create, supplies redstone dials, fluid meters, roller wheels and other parts for building vehicles and machinery.

NeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.21.1

What it does

Junkyard Utils adds a set of miscellaneous items that fit alongside Create. The redstone dial and its glowing variant show an analog redstone level on a compact face, and it is meant for use with Drive Wire displays. Nixie tubes and a prismarine dial extend the same display family. A side-mounted fluid meter reads fluid levels in containers, and a slim light source can be positioned to suit vehicle cosmetics.

Vehicle builders get a standalone roller wheel with low friction, which becomes a brake when powered by redstone and allows compact landing gear. A large propeller blade behaves like a windmill sail with a configurable position, for a less chunky look. Dark aviator specs are minimalist goggles that do not clog the screen. The mod requires Create, and it is compatible with Sable VS2 according to its author. Junkyard Utils runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for NeoForge on 1.21.1 only, under the MIT License, and the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Redstone dials

A compact dial displays the analog redstone level, with plain, prismarine and glowing variants.

  2. Fluid meter

A side-mounted comparator reads fluid levels in containers and fits into fluid-focused setups.

  3. Roller wheel

A low-friction wheel block that, when redstone-powered, raises friction for brakes on landing gear.

  4. Large propeller blade

A blade that acts like a windmill sail, with a configurable position for a less chunky appearance.
