Item Value Mod

by Antara89

Item Value Mod assigns a configurable value to Minecraft items and shows it in live item tooltips.

FabricClient and serverMIT License1.21.1

What it does

Each item receives a single value built from a base value, an ingredient-count bonus with a cap, a rarity multiplier for the COMMON, UNCOMMON, RARE and EPIC tiers, and a crafting multiplier that separates craftable from non-craftable items. A stack total is then calculated by multiplying that single value by the stack count. Both figures appear as line items in the tooltip, and command-based breakdowns show how the numbers were reached.

The base value can be derived from a recipe instead of being set by hand, and the mod ships with default values for a large set of notable vanilla items. Every multiplier and bonus is configurable, so a server can adjust the economy without changing the code. The mod is published for Fabric on Minecraft 1.21.1 and runs on client and server, so both the server and each player need it. Its code is under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Configurable item values

Items can be given a value through configuration, and the defaults cover a large set of notable vanilla items.

  2. Live tooltip lines

Single-item value and total stack value appear as separate lines in the item tooltip as players look at items.

  3. Rarity and crafting multipliers

Rarity tiers COMMON, UNCOMMON, RARE and EPIC each carry their own multiplier, and craftable items use a different multiplier from non-craftable ones.

  4. Recipe-based base values

An optional setting derives the base value of an item from the recipe that produces it, with an ingredient bonus capped at a set amount.
