Players who sort or move large stacks in chests and furnaces can use ItemScroller-Forge, a client-side Forge mod for Minecraft 1.16.5 that speeds up inventory management.
What it does
Shift with a left click moves a stack from a container into the player inventory, or the other way round. Ctrl with Shift and a left click empties a chest in one action, and Alt with Shift and a left click gathers identical items into the same slots. The mod works with chests, furnaces, hoppers and other containers, and it is built to stay compatible with other mods that change inventories.
The scroll speed can be adjusted with the .speed command, for example .speed 30, and a delay setting lets the pace suit each player. The .help command lists the available controls and settings inside the game. Players who only want to start the mod can place the file in the mods folder and launch the game, and the mod requires Forge on Minecraft 1.16.5.
Only the player's game needs it, and servers run without it. It is published for Forge with a single game version, 1.16.5, and the latest file was released 2026-04-29. The source code is public, but the mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
