Item Alchemy Additions

by Vikotoya

Item Alchemy Additions extends the transmutation grid of Item Alchemy with search, sorting, dimming and filtering tools for players who handle large item lists.

What it does

Players who browse long item lists in Item Alchemy can find a single entry by name or ID, and the mod adds sorting by EMC value in ascending or descending order, alphabetically, or by internal ID. A filter switches the view between known and unknown items with their EMC values shown. Items not yet learned are dimmed to 60% transparency, and items without an alchemical value carry a clear overlay, so the state of each entry reads at a glance.

The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on the Fabric loader for 1.20.1 only, with a single build published on 2026-07-11. Client and server both need it. Integrated Search Bar works alongside it, and an addon listed by the author is required for some of its features. Fabric API is required, and the notes do not name any other dependency.

Key features

  1. Instant item search

Entries in the transmutation grid can be found by name or internal ID, which replaces scrolling through many pages.

  2. Known and unknown toggle

A filter switches between items the player has learned and items still to discover, showing EMC values for each.

  3. Virtual item handling

Learning or burning items works through a virtual interface with no physical slots, which avoids ghost item bugs.

  4. Scrollable item group tabs

Item groups sit in a scrollable tab bar, so large modpacks with many groups stay navigable.
