It Follows is a Fabric and Forge cursed mod that adds a relentless stalker entity which pursues the player across the world.
What it does
The entity slowly tracks the player and never stops or despawns until it is removed. It is invincible and deals heavy damage, so a single hit can kill a player in hardcore. The entity remains hidden in darker places, so a torch or lantern is worth carrying even during the day in shaded areas.
Sleep is not safe while the entity is nearby, since a player who tries to sleep is woken by it. The mod suits horror-themed survival play and server events. Its behavior and numbers are set in a config file, which covers speed, damage, health, invincibility and sounds. Fabric API is required, and Cloth Config API is optional for editing the settings in-game.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.19.2 – 1.21.11 on Fabric and Forge, and the latest build is 2.0.4 for 1.21.1, published 2026-10-14.
