Island Champ, a Fabric client mod for the MCC Island server, adds a sidechat for private messages, indicators for friends and party members, and a party members screen.
What it does
Island Champ is built on code from the SUSMOD project by SuperDerp111, including its websocket connection, and it extends the in-game chat with a separate sidechat channel. Private messages can be sent and received through that channel, and a chat listener handles the message flow inside the chat screen.
Indicators mark friends and party members on the player's screen, and a party members screen lists who is in the group. Voice chat party members are supported as a feature. The mod is tied to the MCC Island network and is designed for players on that server rather than general play.
The mod needs no other mod, and only the client needs it: a server running MCC Island does not have to install anything. Files target Minecraft 1.19.2 only, and the latest Fabric build is 1.0.1-prerelease2, published as a beta on 2022-09-23. The code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so the source is open.
