InfoHUD+

by FGRP

InfoHUD+ replaces the default F3 debug screen with a minimal, color-coded overlay that shows only the readouts a player selects.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.20 – 26.1

What it does

Where the vanilla F3 screen lists everything at once, the overlay draws a cleaner panel with FPS, coordinates, facing direction with degrees, the biome name, movement speed in blocks per second, and the in-game time with a day counter. Hardware readouts such as the GPU name, the CPU name, RAM usage as a percentage and in megabytes, and the Java version are also available, so a player can keep the panel short or fill it in.

The mod adds further lines for light level at the block and in the sky, loaded chunks, entity count, ping in milliseconds, player count, server brand, and the real-world clock. Everything is intended for a player reading the screen during play, and the server side needs nothing extra. The license is MIT, and the source is not open source. Files are published for Fabric only, across 20 release versions 1.20 – 26.1, with 1.0.0 for 26.1 as the latest file.

Key features

  1. F3 replacement overlay

A lightweight overlay takes the place of the default F3 screen and presents the same kind of data in a cleaner layout.

  2. Selectable readouts

Each line, from FPS and coordinates to ping and the real-world clock, can be shown or hidden so the panel holds only what the player wants.

  3. Hardware information

The GPU name, CPU name, RAM usage as a percentage and in megabytes, and the Java version appear on the panel.

  4. Movement and world data

Movement speed in blocks per second, light level, loaded chunks and entity count are all displayed during play.

Use cases

Who it’s for: Players who want a tidier alternative to the default F3 screen. Because the mod is client-side, only players who install it see the overlay, and servers run without it.

How it compares

Questions

Does InfoHUD+ need to be installed on the server?

No. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing.

Which loader does InfoHUD+ support?

Fabric is the only loader with published files for InfoHUD+.

Can the overlay be trimmed to fewer lines?

Yes. The author notes describe selectable readouts, so each line can be shown or hidden to keep the panel minimal.

What the author says

A lightweight, optimized F3 replacement that displays all the information you need on a clean, color-coded HUD. The default F3 screen is ugly and cluttered. InfoHUD+ replaces it with a minimal, beautiful overlay that shows only what you want.
