Incombustium

by antymology

Incombustium adds enchantments and curses that change how items survive, despawn and move, and it names the blocks and items that cannot burn.

FabricQuiltClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19 – 1.19.2

What it does

The mod adds an Incombustible enchantment that protects an item from fate, a Spectral enchantment that makes a dropped item glow through walls, and an Everlasting enchantment that extends the despawn timer by five minutes. Enchanted items can be combined, and the mod also adds three curses that carry a penalty alongside their benefit.

The Time curse makes an item despawn much faster than others, the Gravitation curse keeps an item floating like a feather wherever it goes, and the Clumsy curse makes an item slippery so it can drop from the hand while equipped. Which items count as flammable or incombustible is set by default and can be changed with a datapack. Incombustium runs on client and server and is published for Fabric and Quilt, with files for 1.19 – 1.19.2 under the MIT License, and it is open source with public source code and an issue tracker.

Installation is the same on both loaders: the mod is placed in the mods folder of the client and of the server. Because the environment is client and server, a server that runs it needs every player to have it too.

Key features

  1. Incombustible enchantment

Protects an item from being lost in a tragic accident, such as burning in lava or being destroyed by fire.

  2. Spectral enchantment

Makes a dropped item glow through walls so it can be found again after it lands out of sight.

  3. Everlasting enchantment

Adds five minutes to the despawn timer of a dropped item, giving more time to go back and collect it.

  4. Three curses

Time, Gravitation and Clumsy each add a drawback to an item, such as faster despawn, floating or slipperiness.

  5. Datapack flammability lists

Lists of flammable and incombustible items are defined by default and can be extended through a datapack.

Bucket Enchantments is not open source under the Apache License 2.0, server required for 26.1 – 26.2.
