IMELangRestorer
by Lumine1909
IMELangRestorer fixes the input method language after the chat box is closed and reopened on Minecraft 26.2 and later for Windows players.
What it does
After a player switches the Windows input method to English and returns to a text box, the IME status can fail to change back. The mod restores the language state so that closing chat with the key and opening it again with T brings back the expected CJK or English input mode, as the author describes it.
The mod targets Windows users who type in Chinese, Japanese or Korean inside Minecraft 26.2 and newer. It is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric, with a single game version, 26.2, and version 1.0.1 as the latest file.
The project is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Language state restore
Restores the input method language after switching back to English, so the expected mode returns when a text box is opened.
Chat box reopening
Covers the case where a player closes chat and reopens it with T, the situation the author reports as broken on 26.2.
Windows input focus
Targets the IME behavior of Windows, where the language indicator can stay on the wrong mode after a switch.
Public source code
The source code and issue tracker are public, so problems can be reported against the GPL v3 licensed project.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Chinese or Japanese typing in chat
Players who write in CJK input on Windows and find the language stuck after switching to English can use the mod while chatting.
Keyboard shift workflow
Players who press Shift to toggle the input language and then open chat with T will see the mode match what they selected.
Who it’s for: Windows players using a CJK input method in Minecraft 26.2 and newer. Players on other systems, or on older game versions, have no file to install.
