Illegal Stack Fixer
by mrmelon54
Illegal Stack Fixer is a server-side Utility mod that corrects stack sizes set above the allowed maximum on items in player inventories and storage blocks.
What it does
When a non-creative player opens an inventory, the mod checks for stacks whose count is higher than the maximum allowed. Storage blocks and entities with storage, such as chests, are checked in the same way, and oversized stacks are reset to the correct maximum. The work happens on the server, so players join without installing anything. Installation needs Fabric API on Fabric and Quilt, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt across 10 release versions, 1.19 – 1.20.4, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
Stack size correction
Stacks holding more items than the maximum are reset to the allowed count, so the size is no longer too big.
Storage checks
Chests and other blocks or entities with storage are scanned for invalid stack sizes as well as player inventories.
Check on inventory open
The scan runs when a non-creative player opens an inventory, so fixes apply at the moment the items are seen.
