HideNameTag

by LendSpele

HideNameTag, a Fabric mod by LendSpele, lets a server hide player nametags above the heads of other players in the world.

FabricServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.8 – 1.21.10

What it does

Players who wish to see fewer nicknames above other players' heads can rely on HideNameTag, which removes the name display for the players around them. The mod changes how names are drawn, so the server controls what every player sees. It also offers settings for the text and name colors, entered as hex values such as 084882 or FFFFFF, so the nametag appearance can be adjusted to suit a server's style.

HideNameTag is published for Fabric only, with builds covering 1.21.8 – 1.21.10 and 1.21.10 as the latest file. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and the code is open source under the MIT License. Public source code and an issue tracker are linked from its listing.
