Harder Natural Healing
by Two Guys
Harder Natural Healing lets a modpack set how quickly, and at what hunger cost, a player regenerates health, and whether healing stops before a hunger threshold.
What it does
The mod replaces the default natural regeneration with values set in its config. Its controls cover the healing rate in hit points per second, the extra hunger that healing causes, and the food level below which healing stops. A separate setting, minimumFoodHealingLevel with a default of 16.0, marks where that cutoff sits. Extra exhaustion when hurt, set by extraExhaustionWhenHurt at 0.0125 by default, adds hunger cost to damage taken.
Sleep healing is also adjustable. wakeupHealingAmount accepts a value in the range 0.0 – 10.0 and sets how much health a player gains on waking. Out of the box, the settings keep vanilla healing rates and add a small heal in the morning. In Peaceful mode the hunger system still applies, and a starvation option, active from version 11 on, lets players take damage and die from hunger at any hit point level, including 0. The hardernaturalhealing command lets a server owner check and change these values during play.
Key features
Adjustable healing rate
The rate of health regained per second can be raised or lowered to suit a modpack's pace.
Hunger cost of healing
Healing can use more food, and the food level at which healing stops can be set to allow it at lower hunger.
Sleep wake-up heal
A configurable amount of health is restored when the player wakes from a bed, within a range of 0.0 – 10.0.
Starvation option
Players can take damage and die from hunger, including in Peaceful mode, by enabling starvation in the config.
