HardcorePlusMod

by fanomlnas

HardcorePlusMod changes many vanilla rules at once, so zombies hit harder, tools wear faster and chests hold fewer items, making the game more challenging.

NeoForgeClient or server, optionalAll rights reserved1.21.5

What it does

The mod changes combat, mobs, tools and world rules together. Zombies deal five times the normal damage to players, and zombies and skeletons no longer burn in daylight. Spiders retarget the nearest player more aggressively, creepers can be charged through visual lightning strikes, and ghasts shoot far faster with stronger fireball explosions. Some zombies spawn with random potion effects, swords or armor subsets, and zombies stuck near players can break blocks to reach them or climb upward by placing blocks beneath themselves.

Economy and inventory rules change as well. Mining with a pickaxe wears it faster than normal, and cheaper tools lose durability more quickly than sturdier ones. Chests are capped at 9 slots for a single chest and 18 for a double chest, and the ender chest holds 9 slots. Players must sleep for 60 seconds before skipping the night, and time can be frozen to stop skipping until morning. Hard landings create craters scaled to the fall distance.

The mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so it can be installed on a client, a server or both. Files target NeoForge for 1.21.5 only, and the latest file is 1.0, published on 2025-09-30.
