Haemorrhage
by Xires87
Haemorrhage gives players a Bleeding status effect after damage, and bandages, honey and golden apples are the ways to stop it.
What it does
Once a player takes damage, the Bleeding effect can be applied, and its length depends on how much damage was taken and on the armor worn. While bleeding, health drains slowly and food no longer heals it. Left unchecked, bleeding drops health to half a heart, then turns into the Bleedout effect, which lowers maximum health and can kill the player. Fire damage shortens a bleeding effect's duration, and a milk bucket does not remove it.
The mod requires Cloth Config API and Unremovable Effects, and it needs Sinytra Connector to load on Fabric. Its settings live in an imbleeding folder, with the main file imbleeding.json opened through Mod Menu. A separate armor file sets how much protection each armor piece gives against bleeding, and a list controls which mobs can cause bleeding and which items remove its effects. Haemorrhage is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric only, for 1.20 – 1.21.1, with 6.2.1+1.21 as the latest file for 1.21.1.
Key features
Bandages and sticky bandages
Bandages heal 2 hp and remove Bleeding, and a sticky bandage works the same way with a shorter use time.
Honey and golden apple cures
A honey bottle cancels Health Loss and restores a small amount of health, while an enchanted golden apple clears Bleeding and Bleedout.
Broken and Health Loss effects
Broken slows movement like slowness and blocks sprinting and the combat roll, and Health Loss lowers maximum health by 2 points per level.
Low health effects
Below half a heart of health, the player receives a darkness effect with blindness, which is a visible warning.

What the author says
Player gets these effects after taking damage. Bleeding is most common and its length depends on damage taken and players armor. To configure bleeding protection provided by armors, _use armor_bleed_prot_values.json_ (if you don't see this file, run minecraft, join any world and then leave)
