Recall Staffs

Each staff tier uses a different cost and cooldown. The wooden staff costs 10 levels per use with a 1400-second cooldown, the copper staff costs 2 levels with 900 seconds, the iron staff costs 2 levels with 720 seconds, the golden staff costs 1 level with 590 seconds, and the diamond staff costs 1 level with 410 seconds. The netherite staff has no level cost and a 230-second cooldown. Using one staff starts a cooldown that applies to the others, so a player still waits before recalling with a different staff.

A staff can be calibrated to a lodestone, and a calibrated staff teleports to that lodestone, with an extra 10 levels as the default cost. A grindstone reverts the calibration. Players can recall a sitting dog or cat, or a riding horse, which adds one level. The mod also includes a recovery altar, so items lost on death can be retrieved, and a player is invulnerable for 30 seconds after dying while returning to the death position.

Recall Staffs runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It requires Cloth Config API and Crafting Manipulator, and it needs Sinytra Connector to load. Files are published for Fabric, released under the MIT License and open source, for 1.20 – 1.21.1.
