Green Apple
by Troxi
Green Apple, a Fabric food mod by Troxi, adds a new apple item that behaves like the regular apple but has its own texture.
What it does
The new green apple eats and stacks like a standard apple, so its effect on food and hunger is the same. The item is only different in its look and in where it comes from. Green Apples sometimes drop from oak and dark oak leaves in place of regular apples, and they never appear in generated structures, so players have to collect them from leaves or craft them.
A golden apple recipe is added: one Green Apple surrounded by eight gold ingots produces the crafted result. Horses can be fed green apples, and a composter accepts them, which was added in version 0.1.1. Text is translated into 93 languages.
The mod requires Fabric API. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric only, across six game versions 1.21.4 – 1.21.9, and the latest file is 0.1.6 for 1.21.9 under the MIT License, which is not open source.
