Gore Death changes how mobs look when they die by making their death animations more dramatic, and it is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1.
What it does
Mobs played through their death sequence with a heavier, more exaggerated animation. The effect applies once a mob is killed, so the change is visible in ordinary fights rather than in a separate mode. Players who prefer the plain vanilla look can leave it out, since it changes nothing about how mobs are generated or how they behave before death. Gore Death runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge only, for 1.20.1, with 2.0.0 as the latest file, released under the MIT License and not open source.
