What it does

Combat in the mod is built around visual and sound effects inspired by retro shooter games. Gore particles appear in several colours when entities are hit, gore sound effects play during fights, and mobs and players can be dismembered. The author describes the content as incomplete, so the feature set is still growing.

Two parts are listed as unavailable in the 0.5 beta: corpses and weapons with gore effects. The mod has configuration files. It is released for 1.20.1 on Forge. Gore Edition runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It requires Geckolib and playerAnimator, and its code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
