Gimme That Gimmick
by Provismet
Gimme That Gimmick, a Fabric library, adds server-side generational gimmicks for Cobblemon, with items, assets and data-driven form changes.
What it does
The mod implements the generational gimmicks of Cobblemon as server-side behavior. It brings in Showdown scripts and the visual assets for Mega Stones, Z-Crystals, Tera Shards, the Dynamax Band and Max Candy, and it changes Pokemon forms through data-driven rules. Items are added to the game, but the mod does not make them obtainable through play or create the crafting and acquisition methods for them, so server owners set up how players get the gimmick items on their own servers.
The mod was written for Fabric servers and ports the Mega Showdown functionality where needed. Single-player players and smaller private servers that want a complete, fully integrated setup on NeoForge can use Mega Showdown instead. Gimme That Gimmick requires Cobblemon, Fabric API and Polymer. Its files target Fabric for 1.21.1 only, and the mod is released under a custom license that does not make it open source.

Use cases
Custom acquisition on a server
Server owners add their own ways to obtain gimmick items, such as rewards, shops or quests, since the mod leaves acquisition to them.
Who it’s for: Server owners running Cobblemon on Fabric who want the generational gimmicks available to players, and developers who build datapacks for this content.
How it compares
Cobblemon - Genesis Forms is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 that runs on the server only and is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license. Eclipse Core Client is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 that is client-side only, with all rights reserved. Cobblemon: Mega Showdown covers Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1 and is server-side only as well, so it needs no client install and serves as the fully integrated option.
