Gigeresque brings xenomorphs, facehuggers and other biomechanical horrors into survival worlds, hidden in black monolithic structures underground.
What it does
The mod places black monolithic structures deep underground. Each one holds life sealed inside, so the creatures stay put until an adventurer opens the dungeon and releases them. Inside, players find leathery egg-like capsules that contain facehuggers or a mutagenic black goo.
The design follows the original Alien film from 1979 and Prometheus from 2012 rather than the later franchise entries. There are no queens or hiveminds in the mod. Adult xenomorphs can egg morph, turning biomass from a living target into a new egg. Neomorphs, deacons and goo mutants are described by the author as planned for later updates.
Gigeresque requires AzureLib, Fabric API and SmartBrainLib. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt across nine release versions, 1.19.2 – 1.21.1. The mod is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 and is not open source.
