Freezing Water
by 3geE
Freezing Water makes players freeze when they enter water above a set height, and a single command changes that height.
What it does
Players who step into water above the configured height become frozen, and visual alerts warn them before and during the freeze. Each player can turn the freezing and the regeneration system on or off individually, using commands from the datapack. The height is adjusted with one command and works in both single-player and multiplayer worlds.
The mod is a datapack, so it is placed in the world's datapacks folder rather than installed as a loader mod. Its commands set a scoreboard value for the minimum height, which defaults to 124, and players can switch the freezing on or off at any time. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, for 1.21 – 26.3 with 1.2 as the latest file. The server must run the datapack for the freezing to apply, while players may leave it out. The license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.
