Ore Detector
by 3geE
Ore Detector is a utility mod that lets players search the area around them for ore blocks, with its readings shown on a compass.
What it does
A detection scan covers a 10x10x10 block area around the player and reports ore found inside it. The scan takes up to five seconds, and a five second cooldown applies before the next one can start. The compass shows the location of the ore that was found, so the result can be followed rather than read from a chat line.
Deepslate variants of ore are covered as well, including deepslate diamond, deepslate emerald and deepslate gold. The mod is server required with the client optional, so a server must run it while a player may leave it out. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the latest build is 1.3 for 26.3, with game versions 1.21 – 26.3 across 17 release versions. The code is under All rights reserved and is not open source.
