FPS Overlay puts a customizable on-screen panel in the game that shows frame rate, network ping, server tick figures and memory use.

What it does

The overlay tracks FPS, average FPS, 1% lows, ping, server TPS, MSPT and RAM usage, and refreshes these figures as the game runs. Its size, position and colors can be changed through the config menu, so the panel can be tuned to fit the HUD without covering the parts of the screen a player needs.

A single keypress hides or shows the panel, which makes it quick to check numbers during a fight or a performance test. The author describes the mod as lightweight and says it does not reduce frame rate. Among the catalog's Technology mods, this one is open source under the MIT License, so its code can be read and changed.

The mod is client-side only, so players install it and servers do not need it. Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) are required; Mod Menu is optional and adds a settings entry for the config screen. Files target 1.20.1 – 26.2 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
