Foxablue's Lucky Blocks
by Foxablue
Foxablue's Lucky Blocks is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that adds three new Lucky Block variants, each drawing random events from a pool of over 100 custom effects.
What it does
The mod revives the Lucky Block idea with three placeable blocks: the standard Lucky Block, the Red Lucky Block and the Blue Lucky Block. Breaking one runs a randomly chosen event, and the color sets which kind of event can come up. A standard block draws from both lucky and unlucky outcomes, a Red block only unlucky ones, and a Blue block only lucky ones.
Its crafting recipes are meant to keep block creation balanced in survival worlds. The event pool is large enough that the results of a single block can change a world in unexpected ways. The mod is built for Forge in Minecraft 1.20.1 and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
Key features
Three Lucky Block variants
Standard, Red and Blue blocks are added, each with its own mix of random events.
Lucky and unlucky pools
Red blocks only trigger unlucky events, Blue blocks only lucky ones, and standard blocks can trigger either.
Over 100 custom events
Events are combined at random, so one block can produce a wide spread of outcomes.
Survival-friendly recipes
Crafting recipes for the blocks are included, so players can make them in survival without a creative source.

Use cases
Chaotic survival worlds
Players who want unpredictable results from breaking blocks can use the standard variant to shake up a normal survival run.
Balanced luck
Red and Blue blocks let a player choose between harsher and gentler outcomes, depending on the situation.
Who it’s for: Players who want random events from breaking blocks in Forge 1.20.1 worlds, on singleplayer or multiplayer servers where the mod is installed on both sides.
How it compares
Christmas Lucky Block and Sigma Lucky Block are both Forge mods for 1.20.1 that run on client and server, and both are released under All rights reserved, like this mod. Classic Lucky Blocks covers 1.20.5 – 1.21 across Fabric, Forge and Quilt, and is server required with an optional client, so it differs in loaders, version range and environment.
