Christmas Lucky Block is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that adds a festive block which triggers one of 30 random events when a player breaks it.
What it does
Breaking the wrapped block starts one of 30 custom events, each one picked at random. Some events give the player unexpected windfalls such as festive gear and loot, while others bring sudden dangers. The block is covered in holiday wrapping and is meant to be found in a world by breaking festive blocks, where Santa Claus is said to have left a surprise.
The mod also adds holiday weapons and tools, including Candy Cane swords, snowball launchers, a Snowball Cannon whose firing power depends on how long it is charged, and a TNT Gift that explodes on impact with the ground or a mob. Hot chocolate gives several temporary effects, such as increased speed. Loot comes from custom loot tables with dozens of possible drops. Both the server and each player need the mod, since it runs on the client and the server together. The files cover 1.20.1 only, and the latest Forge file is 1.0.0, published on 2026-06-24. Its license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open to the public.
