Four Old Legends

by BrainMystycal

Four Old Legends is a Fabric horror-ARG mod in which Herobrine, the entity called Entity 303 and the others share one world, and each slowly builds its presence there.

What it does

Four Old Legends places four legendary presences into a single world: Herobrine, Entity 303, Lick and one more that distorts the terrain around it. They are not supposed to coexist, and each one leaves traces in the land. Herobrine builds roads that lead nowhere and raises structures, while the distorting presence bends the world around it. Entity 303 and Lick round out the group, and the mod treats them as rivals that feud among themselves.

The mod is a slow-building experience rather than a jumpscare mod. Presences grow stronger over time, and the shared sanity tension system tracks how close the player is to them. Sanity is shown on the HUD, and light and shelter wards help hold it together. Lick approaches slowly, doesn't fear the player's gaze and leaves a lantern behind, while Oblivion, the antipode of Herobrine, quietly erases what has been built and always telegraphs itself first.

Installation needs Fabric API on Fabric. Four Old Legends runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric only, across four release versions, 26.1 – 26.3, under All rights reserved and not open source.

Key features

  1. Four shared presences

Four presences occupy the same world, each with its own behaviour and traces on the land.

  2. Sanity tension system

A 0 to 100 sanity value is tracked on the HUD, and it drops as the presences wear down the player's mind.

  3. Stalking behaviour

Herobrine stalks the player, freezing when they look at it and rushing closer when they turn away, so tension peaks at those moments.

  4. State machine AI

Some presences move through the world on state-machine logic with pathfinding, which lets them approach by stages.
