Forsaken Items

by jinqinxixi

Forsaken Items adds accessories, tools and items whose crafting recipes are not fixed, so the materials needed change with each world.

What it does

The mod introduces a set of unique items and tools that can only be crafted through its own methods rather than standard recipes. Recipes shift dynamically depending on the world a player is in, which means the materials required stay unknown until the world has been created and explored. Players discover recipes by reading runes found in loot chests scattered across the world, so progression is tied to exploration and decoding.

The mod adds a fresh layer of discovery to gameplay, turning recipe hunting into part of the progression. It runs on Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 and requires Curios API. Installation covers the server and each player's game. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Dynamic crafting recipes

Recipes change from world to world, so the materials needed for an item are different in each new save.

  2. Runes as recipe clues

Runes placed in the world give the information players need to work out how items are made.

  3. Loot chest discovery

Runes are scattered through loot chests across the world, tying recipe knowledge to exploring the map.

  4. Unique accessories and tools

The mod adds accessories, tools and items that exist only through its own crafting methods.

These items have no standard crafting recipes—instead, their recipes change dynamically based on the world you're in. This means you’ll never know what materials are required…
