by Bergundy1

Forged in War, a Fabric and NeoForge mod, introduces zinc and brass materials along with a group of melee and ranged weapons crafted from brass.

FabricNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11

What it does

Zinc ore and copper combine into brass, which serves as the base material for the mod's weapons. The weapons available right now are the Brass Battle Axe, the Brass Glaive, the Brass Knuckles and the Longbow. The battle axe suits close combat with decent damage, while the glaive reaches farther with a spear-like length and a short cooldown. Brass Knuckles trade a little damage and range for a quicker attack speed, and the Longbow fires arrows at higher velocity, so they drop less over distance and hit harder than a standard bow.

A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. It requires Fabric API on either loader path. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge under the MIT License, for 1.21.11 only, with the latest builds dated 2026-02-25. The source code is public, and the author describes the set as a focused start, with more weapon content planned for later releases.

Key features

  1. Brass from zinc and copper

  4. Brass Knuckles and Longbow

Knuckles hit for slightly less damage at shorter range with faster attacks, while the Longbow shoots with more velocity and greater accuracy than a normal bow.
