FM Resource Pack Updater adds a button to FancyMenu that checks whether a resource pack has a newer release on GitHub.
What it does
A button ticker action in FancyMenu can check the installed resource pack version against the newest release in a GitHub repository, and the button appears once the resource pack is set in the game. The repository is chosen in the mod's configuration, so the source can be changed without editing other files. Installing a new version then uses the release published on GitHub.
Creating and publishing an update requires a GitHub repository where the author can create a release, with the new resource pack .zip attached to that release. The mod needs FancyMenu and the FM Resource Pack Updater itself installed. FancyMenu has its own dependencies, so those must be installed too. After an update, Minecraft has to be launched again for the new pack to take effect.
The mod is built for Fabric and covers game versions 1.19.2 – 1.19.4. It runs on the client alone, so servers do not need to install it. Its source code and issue tracker are public. The license is custom and the code is not open source.
