FlightAssistant gives elytra pilots a configurable flight HUD, real-time flight data, safety alerts and an autopilot with flight planning.
What it does
The mod runs on the client only, so players install it on their own game and servers do not need it. It adds an avionics-style heads-up display that shows flight data in real time, and its layout can be customized. Smart alerts warn the pilot when flight conditions become unsafe, early enough to react.
Automatic flight protections work without getting in the way, and an advanced autopilot can follow a flight plan so the trip can be flown hands-free. The tools are aimed at elytra flight, and the author describes them as approachable for casual players as well as for those who want simulator-style control. Required libraries are Architectury API, Fabric Language Kotlin, Kotlin for Forge and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), and Mod Menu is optional. G-Forces requires the mod. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. Files exist for 1.19.2 – 1.21.11 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with 3.0.1 as the latest release on each loader.
