FireFrame
by Oganesson897
FireFrame is a Quilt library mod that other mod projects can build on, with a tag for heat-carrying items and a fire mechanic for entities.
What it does
The mod is a library, so its main use is as a dependency for other Quilt mods rather than as a standalone gameplay addition. It adds a new item tag named heat, which lets items be grouped by their heat property, and it lets items held in the hand, off the main hand, be read by the code that checks them. Entities that come into contact with heat-tagged items can catch fire. The server and every player need the mod installed. It is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only and is published for Quilt, with a single build for 1.19.3.
Key features
Heat item tag
A new tag named heat groups items that carry heat, so other mods and datapacks can check for them.
Off-hand item checks
Items held in the hand off the main hand can be checked by the code that reads held items.
Catching fire
Entities can catch fire through the heat mechanic, which other projects can rely on.
