Fair Freecam
by m1dLL3
Fair Freecam is a client-side freecam utility for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge that lets a player move the camera away from their body while the character stays in place.
What it does
Freecam detaches the view from the player so the camera can drift through the world. The fork drops the features the author describes as controversial and keeps the core camera controls. Players can pass through solid blocks with the camera, and the world around it can be edited while the view sits elsewhere.
The player character can be frozen in place while the camera moves, and the camera can interact with blocks and entities at its own position. A gamma boost is available for viewing dark areas. The mod is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public. It needs Cloth Config API, which is bundled inside the mod, and it can use Mod Menu when that mod is installed.
Key features
Block-passing camera
The camera can fly through solid blocks, which lets it inspect the inside of builds and caves.
Frozen player
The player character can stay still while the camera moves, so the body is not moved by the freecam.
Interaction from the camera
Blocks can be edited and entities used from the camera position, without moving the character.
Gamma boost
A brightness boost can be applied while in freecam to make dark areas easier to read.

Use cases
Inspecting builds
Builders can look at a structure from angles the character cannot reach, such as the inside of walls or underground rooms.
Filming and screenshots
Players recording footage can move the camera independently of their character to frame shots.
Who it’s for: Players who want a free camera on the client without the extra features of older forks, and players who build or record footage on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge.
