Extra AoA Info

by Shimizu_Izumi

Extra AoA Info is a Forge addon that adds on-screen detail to AoA weapons and armour, and it runs only on the client.

ForgeClient-side onlyMIT License1.19.2 – 1.19.3

What it does

Weapon tooltips for some vanilla items gain dynamic DPS values, and AoA blasters show their energy use per second. Armour pieces show the differences in armour value, so a player can compare two sets before equipping them.

Required ammo counts for AoA weapons appear in a display in the top left corner of the screen. The mod is an informational addon meant for players who want more numbers while they play. Because only the client needs it, players can join a server without installing it, and servers do not have to run it. It is published for Forge on 1.19.2 and 1.19.3, with 1.0.2 for 1.19.3 as the latest file, and it is released under the MIT License without being open source.

The author also describes it as a sample add-on for people who want to learn how to integrate their own mods with AoA, so the source can serve as a reference for that work. AoA is needed for it to have anything to show.

Key features

  1. Dynamic DPS in tooltips

Some vanilla weapon tooltips gain a DPS value that updates with the item's current stats.

  2. Blaster energy per second

Tooltips on AoA blasters show the energy consumed each second while firing.

  3. Armour value comparison

Armour pieces list how their armour value differs from other pieces, making upgrades easier to judge.

  4. Ammo counts on the HUD

A display in the top left corner shows the ammo required by the AoA weapons being used.
