Block Display shows information about the block or entity the player is looking at, in the top left corner of the screen.

What it does

Block Display is a lightweight Forge mod for Minecraft 1.12.2. Pointing at a block shows its icon and name, and whether it has a tile entity. For block entities that hold items, the display also lists their contents. Advanced item tooltips add more detail when enabled. Developers who want to add their own lines can use the API provided by MelonLib, which is required.

The client needs the mod, while a server may run without it. The code is under the MIT License and is open source, and the source code and issue tracker are public. Released for 1.12.2 only, with version 1.12.2-v1.0 dated 2025-01-22.
