Experience Obliterator
by evanbones
Experience Obliterator removes Minecraft's experience mechanics from a game, turning off orb spawns, the experience bar and related anvil and enchanting features.
What it does
Experience Obliterator disables spawning of experience orbs entirely and stops them from rendering, so no orbs appear in the world. Orbs that do exist are picked up immediately on contact. Players can hide the experience bar on the HUD, mute the sounds made when orbs are collected or levels are gained, and disable anvil and enchanting table functions that depend on experience.
The mod is described by its author as a simple tool with many configurable tweaks, all aimed at removing experience from play. It is based on the experience removal tweaks of Nostalgic Tweaks, and its code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later. Both sides of a server run it, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering game versions 1.20.1 – 26.3.
Required dependencies are Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Mod Menu is optional and gives access to the settings screen from the mods list. The latest builds are 2.0.0+26.3-fabric for Fabric, 2.0.0+1.20.1-forge for Forge and 2.0.0+26.3-neoforge for NeoForge, all dated 2026-10-14.

Use cases
Removing experience from a survival world
Players who want a world without experience progression can disable orbs, the bar and level-based anvil and enchanting use.
Adjusting a multiplayer server
Server owners can apply the same removals to a shared world, since the mod must be present on both the server and clients.
Who it’s for: The mod suits players and server owners who want Minecraft's experience system removed rather than adjusted. Its settings are intended for people who want to pick exactly which experience features stay active.
