EXP Counter
EXP Counter puts the experience points a player has gathered toward the following level, and the total accumulated XP, on the screen as a configurable HUD readout.
What it does
Two counters can be shown in-game. One tracks the XP collected toward the following level, and the other tracks the total accumulated XP. Each can be shown or hidden on its own, and the mod provides options for each counter's color, given as a decimal value.
Placement is adjustable. For each counter the mod offers an X-axis offset from the center of the screen and a Y-axis position, so the readouts can sit wherever the player prefers. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and it requires Deimos. Only the client needs it, and the mod is open source under the MIT License.
Files are published for game versions 1.18 – 26.3 and cover 32 release versions. The latest file for 26.3 is dated 2026-09-20. The source code is public.
Key features
Level-progress XP counter
Shows the experience points collected toward the following level, so the remaining amount is visible during play.
Total XP counter
Shows the total accumulated experience, separate from the progress toward the following level.
Independent visibility
Each counter has its own setting, so either one can be turned off without affecting the other.
Color settings
Each counter's color is set with a decimal value, so the readouts can match the HUD style of a pack.
Adjustable position
Horizontal offset and vertical position are configurable for each counter separately.

Use cases
Tracking progress to a level
A player working toward a specific level can watch the XP remaining without opening any menu.
Monitoring total experience
Players who track long-term XP gains can keep the lifetime total on screen while they play.
Who it’s for: Players who want XP values displayed on the HUD. Because only the client needs the mod, it can be added to a server-side setup without installing it on the server.
How it compares
