Deimos
Deimos is a configuration and data generation library, so mod authors can build config screens and recipes without writing JSON by hand.
What it does
Authors declare settings in a class that extends DeimosConfig and register it with a single init call using the mod ID. The configuration part of the library is based on MidnightLib by Motschen. Deimos displays the resulting config files in-game on Forge and NeoForge, and through Mod Menu on Fabric and Quilt.
Recipes are added at startup through DeimosRecipeGenerator, called from an initialize method. Crafting grids and furnace-style cooking methods can all be defined this way, and because they are created when the game starts they can be configured. Developers who prefer a starting point can use the author's IntelliJ templates, which generate a MultiLoader project with Deimos already set up.
Deimos is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt and works on either side. It is open source under the MIT License, with its source code, issue tracker and wiki linked publicly. Its files cover 1.18 – 26.3, with 26.3 as the latest version for every loader.
